Hi guys, it's me. As a big user of this wikia I hate to see it die like this. Hardly any activity going on, the chat seems like a ghost town and many of our great users haven't been contributing as much as they use to. I had noticed that despite varying degrees of success, the two TV series, the movies and Legacy all have aspects that would later be used in the main games. I think these could go into the main articles to add some intrigue.
Conquest had the first appearance of the Deadly Alliance and a concept for a character in the games. Noob Saibot's liquid composition would later be used in MK9. I believe the Konquest mode was likely named after the series, possibly as a sign of respect considering their premise.
Defenders of the Realm of course had Quan Chi.
The first movie retconned Kano to be half Australian in tribute to Trevor Goddard. Shang Tsung's catchphrase of course snuck its way into just about every game he's ever been in since.

the following includes some changes i'd like to see happen with the controls of a new MK game, or fighting games in general. it is somewhat complex, so mastering the controls would be more difficult for amateur players, but beginners would still be able to pick it up and play. keep in mind this layout is xbox 360 specific. also to follow is changes i would make in the special bar concept, furthering its importance.

A lot of people say they dont like him because he has no super powers and doesnt belong in MK. But i think he's extremely cool and one of my top favorite characters. He has no superpowers; Hes a human swat team guy, yet he can STILL beat up people who have super natural abilities, FFS he was able to defeat KINTARO and ERMAC, and reptile, a mean, a huge shokan who breathes fire with 4 arms, and a telekinetic psychic, i mean cmon, he STILL can beat them up with no super natural abilities, who doesnt the bada**ness in that? Hes an awsome character and im glad they have him in mk9 and i hate who theyre most likely not gonna have him in mk10. he is super awsome and i use him alot in mk9, he has a lot of great long chain combos if u study him.

I have not been able to find a page yet that lists who fights for good and who fights for bad. Or who fought for good or bad at one point. Is there a page on the wiki that lists the good and bad characters? I really only know the characters from the first arcade game.

I have been a fan of several Mortal Kombat characters for a long time, and can't stand when someone misquotes a character in any game in the series. In particular, there is a very obscene quote in the trivia area of Scorpion's profile. I know from experience with the mentioned game, Shaolin Monks, that what was posted was not said because the rating explanation said LANGUAGE not STRONG LANGUAGE, in the latter rating you might expect to hear such things, but in the former you do not. I would like to point this out especially to the creators of this Wiki, for future reffernce, in addition, I must suggest that obscene quote be removed, as it is a violation of the terms of the site.

What is up with the activity rate on this wiki, I mean it's like one edit every 3 hours!? I remembered a time when the wiki was thriving with people that were constantly contributing and chatting on this wiki and now it's pretty much empty, and the very few people on the wiki are hardly even editing. I know there is not that much to be done, but there is always stuff to be done and stuff to change.
For example: An issue that would constanty come up when I was on the wiki was Allies and Enemies which has still not been fixed, which can be noticed easilly by seeing that a lot of characters have tons of allies that they haven't even met and the same with enemies.
And yet I am sure that there is still very many other things that need to be fixed…

Ed Boon, the mastermind behind the MK series, revealed yesterday for CVG (ComputerandVideoGames) that he recommends to bring the next succesor of the highly acclaimed reboot Mortal Kombat (2011), to the next-generation consoles. He also discussed about the issues it could have (examples below):

Like the title says, does the MK series need anymore ninja characters?
I mean, seriously, it looks like just about every power has been taken for ninjas, so there would not be much variety.
So, what's your opinion? Are anymore ninjas needed? I believe we could have at least one more cyborg ninja join Cyrax and Sektor, yet in reality, everything has been taken for ninjas. Maybe it's time MK got a new character type that could be a big hit.

This is becoming (or rather, has been) an issue, especially as of late. Users (especially anons, at least one of which I've had to block) keep changing the height and weight without providing a source, and it is usually reverted with the next user asking for a source.
However, source or not, most articles don't have sources for the heights OR the weights (or even the age, for that matter). Perhaps those fields ought to be removed. I'm searching for sources and I'm not coming up with anything except for links back to here.
