To continue what was said from last time, yes, I agree that the powered people just plain forgot that they had powers. WTF?

You got that NRS hates Liu Kang now? I assumed they're giving him what he wanted in the original timeline. He wanted to be with Kitana and rule over a realm. Granted, he wanted to rule with kindness but because of his corruption he doesn't get to be kind.
Liu Kang refused to rule Edenia with Kitana because he wanted to remain the champion of Earthrealm and protect it, unfortunately it didn´t ended well. In the new timeline, he has no reason to dismiss her offer and can now rule with Kitana in the Netherrealm, kind of intersting how the new timeline has changed
Liu Kang and Kitana have more or less become the Regime Superman and Regime Wonder Woman (respectively) of Mortal Kombat. I can sort of see the comparisons between each of them.
Pretty much. Kinda makes it redundant though with each game NRS releases between MK and IJ. Also, yeah, Liu Kang pre-corruption never wanted to rule anything.
And I guess it would be also safe to say that Raiden has now become the Anakin Skywalker of MK. If that's the case, that would also make Fujin like Obi Wan Kenobi in a sense.

He had obligations. He never said that he straight up didn't want to rule.

True, but he also never said that he DID want to rule. That's the same argument theists have. "There's no proof that a god(s) doesn't exist, so there MUST be a god(s)."
Yeah, it can be argued either way. I just don't see wanting to rule a world/realm as a natural part of his character. It's not how he was raised; he's a shaolin monk, not the royalty type.
True. But I'm sure if he didn't have the obligations and he felt that Edenia needed him more then he would've gone for it. Either way, he's with Kitana now and that's what mostly matters.
