Deacon City is a fictional city in California that made its first appearance in the short film Mortal Kombat: Rebirth.

Police DepartmentEdit

The Deacon City Police Department is a very stressful environment. Crime is rampant through the streets, murders happen every day, and everybody is relying on one person. That person is Captain Jackson "Jax" Briggs. Word of a new underground tournament led by the crime boss, Shang Tsung, is around and the crime and death rate rises. Jax informs an assassin named Hanzo Hasashi about the tournament to put a stop to it. Sonya Blade walks in during the interview between Jax and Hanzo Hasashi and informs Hasashi about Sub-Zero. After the ultimate bribe, he accepts.
