The Falling Cliffs is a hostile, mountainous area in Outworld. Plagued with constant tremors and earthquakes, this volcanic region is very dangerous. Sulfur pours out of cracks and holes. Mountains blow smoke like giant chimneys.

This area was first seen in Mortal Kombat: Deception, and returned in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon as an unlockable stage.

OverviewEdit

A small rounded arena of dirt and rocks, there are a few double-barred cross-like polls on the outside rim with dead bodies of unfortunate individuals who are being crucified on them, and with a view of mountains in the background. As a fight continues, the arena becomes smaller and smaller as the outer levels fall away. Players caught on the ledge when this happens will find themselves impaled by the spikes at the bottom of the canyon. In the event that both players fall and are impaled, the player with the least damage taken during the match will win. If however both players fall and are impaled when they have a health bar of 100%, player one is always the winner.

In Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, the arena returns, but no big changes have been made.

The background music is very suitable for the Arena.
