The Grid is a 2001 arcade game by Midway. It is a four-player, third person shooter in the form of a super-violent television game show hosted by a Smash TV-like host.

Gameplay[]

Set in a variety of computer generated arenas, The Grid boasts 25 different weapons including flamethrowers, machineguns, and even megaphones, individual special abilities enhanced by powerups, and one of the goriest presentations around.

The gameplay is similar to many first-person shooters like Quake and Outriggers, except that the player is viewing behind the character, effectively being a third-person shooter.
