Takeda is a character in the television series Mortal Kombat: Conquest. He was played by Chris Casamassa and introduced in the pilot episode "Warrior Eternal".
History[]
Takada was a personal guard and assassin who worked for Baron Reyland, the father of Jen Reyland. He was also a friend of the Great Kung Lao and a colleague of Siro. After Kung Lao defeated Shang Tsung and won the Mortal Kombat Tournament, he went to the Trading Post in Zhu Zin to see the Baron to propose to marry his daughter. However, the Baron had petitioned Takeda to drive Kung Lao out and even planned to kill him until Siro intervened.
That night, Kung Lao went to see Jen so that the couple could elope, and knocked Takeda unconscious. However, Scorpion, released by Shang Tsung with his power, travelled to Zhu Zin from the Cobalt Mines of Shokan in Outworld and possessed Takeda in order to get to Kung Lao.
After kidnaping Jen as bait to lure out Kung Lao, Takeda was fully transformed into Scorpion. Later in the temple of the Order of Light, Scorpion fought Kung Lao and mortally wounded Jen. However, Scorpion was defeated by Kung Lao and sent straight to the Netherrealm (Hell).
It was presumed Takeda had died during this time. Afterwards, Scorpion was brought back by Shao Kahn, but it is unknown whether the body he used is Takada's or not.

- Chris Casamassa, the actor who portrays bothe Takeda and Scorpion in MK: Conquest, had previously played Scorpion in the 1995 film Mortal Kombat.
- Scorpion is also portrayed by Casamassa in Conquest. It is unknown if Scorpion was still possessing Takeda's body even after he came back from Hell later in the series.
- Takeda wears an all black garb similar to the ninja outfits from the 1995 film Mortal Kombat but without mask. When he is possessed by Scorpion, his garb is shown with yellow tints, Scorpion's signature color.
