Japan is an island nation off the coast of China in Earthrealm. It is the homeland of Scorpion and the current base of operations of the Tekunin. The Lin Kuei went to Japan and killed the Shirai Ryu in Japan. It is also where Hanzo Hasahi aka Scorpion his family and clan lived there. Also in Mortal Kombat Armageddon Taven goes to Botan Jungle then goes to his Father's Temple.
