I've been a fan of MK ever since I first saw somebody do Sonya Blade's kiss of death fatality in a Bowling Ally back in early '94. I admit when they make huge changes to certain aspects of the game it can be annoying but it's not like the end of the world. I've been following the conversions on the official forums for the new game and it continues to be fans acting like children over such things as the Cyber Sub-Zero extra and when they think that Shao Kahn or Kintaro will not be playable. It's these boss character whiners that are the most obnoxious.. through out game design history Boss characters have barely ever been playable and when they are they are after thoughts having very few if any moves and animations and a general imbalance in their gameplay since they were never designed to be normal player characters in the first place. When they made Shao Kahn and Goro fully playable in Deception for the GameCube it was a nice addition however it didn't make or break the game. When I see people bitching about Kintaro possibly not being playable and screaming 'boycott', "i'm gonna cancel my preorder!", and "I'm not buying the game if i can't play as so and so" it's rediculous.. I don't see how the exclusion of one character could make the experience totally unenjoyable especially when they are characters that have never been staples of playable content.
